Cleaning up my pc today and i found a semi decent demo version of Ashed Wings with Drew (RIP) on vocals. Its very rough and missing a few parts, but those who knew Drew will appreciate it i am sure.

The Return of Chief Rebel Angel

Its been a difficult year for us and we are happy to report that things seem to be gathering steam again. Wayne has rejoined us on Vocals & Guitar, you can hear him HERE. Another change in the line up is Jason Eedes, He takes over the role as Drummer for Chief Rebel Angel. Raymond will be focusing all his time and energy on Contrast The Water as they have plans to tour abroad in 2009. All of us in Chief Rebel Angel want to wish him and the guys from CTW good luck with their plans and hopefully we get to do some shows together before they leave.

Currently we are busy writing some new material with the new line up and hope to play some shows in early 2009. We will still be releasing the SOMETHING SATANIC digital Ep this year.

This digital Ep is the old material we recorded with Drew. A lot of it is very rough as he passed away before we could finish it. We hope to have it online shortly.

RIP Andrew Keith Brecher

It is with a heavy heart that we have to inform you that last night (Sat 09 August) at 23:30, we lost a close and dear friend and one of our scene icons, front man for Death Metal Masters Pledge Defiance and Chief Rebel Angel, Andrew Keith Brecher, passed untimely due to a cerebral embolism, he went into a coma at about 18:00, and went into cardiac arrest, and was resuscitated, but due to the severe damage done to his brain, was unable to come out of it, and later slipped peacefully away. This has caused a massive vacuum in both our hearts and our scene, and he will be sorely missed.

Tanya and Clint are going to London in September and need cash to get there (neither of us swim well enough to get there without a plane...). Thanks to a brilliant idea from a drunken blonde we are having a benefit gig. Also thanks to the support of awesome friends we have the perfect venue (Burn) and the most amazing line-up ever! Confirmed bands so far are: Reverend Henry Kane Arise to Conquer Grynd Rodd Muse Kolonel Kurtz Junkyard Theatre The AK Massive Contrast the Water Every Waking Hour The Otherwise Other possible acts (watch this space for confirmation) are: Cynical Origin Theatre runs red Skintrade will be setting up a stall, so you guys can have piercings and tattoos done there, the guys are drawing up an awesome tattoo which is being auctioned off and there just might also be raffles for a piercing and a corset. Entry will be R40 which I personally think is NOTHING to watch all of these awesome bands - nevermind the fact that you all love us and want us to have a happy holiday and go visit Camden Town and the London Tattoo Convention! So invite everyone you know and see you guys there!

Chief Rebel Angel Live At Burn Metal Fest

As you can see we are up and running again and we will be playing our first show with the new line up on the 22nd March 2008 at Burn. As a band we look forward to the new year with as many shows as possible, and finishing up our long over due album.

No Longer Playing The MEtal Fest

Chief Rebel Angel will no longer be playing the Mini Metal fest at Burn on the 15th December.

We apologise to anyone who was hoping to catch the new line up in action. Make sure you go to the fest, most of us wll be there to support the rest of the amazing line up.

Last Show for 2007

Thats right our FINAL show for 2007 will be at the BURN metal festival on the 15th December.

Make sure you come down to the show, we will be selling codes to download our two albums that are being relesed on the 25th December right here on My Noise.

As many of you know we had a vocal change as we completed our album. What we are going to do this December is release the old version with Sheldon. Then we will also release select songs with the new line and include some new songs...

So now XMAS finally has a meaning....

As you know we have been hard at work re writing the material and fitting in the second guitar along with developing the new sound with the new vocals.

Chief Rebel Angel - 07 May 2007

Well as you know the band is back in action and getting ready to kick **** this year.Ray is laying down some drum tracks next week and we will release two new online singles to replace the current song online.

This is the first recordings with the new line up featuring Shaughn (Guitar) Andrew (Bass) Wayne (Guitar / Vocals) and Raymond (Drums).

We will be at all the Witchfest Festivals this year and we are also hooking up some shows with the dudes from A Fix for Grace, Marching Dead and Inane through out the year.

We will also launch our new site with new band pics, music, wallpapers, avatars and some tour dates when we release the two new songs.

Expect METAL like never before......

Chief Rebel Angel 2007

Well it’s been a long hard haul the last few months with so many developments it’s almost impossible to keep up.

Sheldon leaves for the UK this Thursday at 13:00 to pursue European drinking and skydiving adventures.. We wish him well on his journeys and look forward to his return to Chief Rebel Angel in the not so distant future.

Before you crumple down into a ball of tears thinking "this is the end of CHIEF REBEL ANGEL", read the rest ...ok....Dry your eyes. Read further...

Wayne Pieterse has rejoined the band on Vocals / Guitar; many of you know Wayne from his days as Vocalist / Bassist for vVv and Umtakati. We are happy to have him back in the fold and look forward to laying waste to a venue near you…Chief Rebel Angel style….

Andrew (Bass) will also be doing some backing vocals to fill up the sound and add some new ranges to the bands already solid sound.

As far as the recording goes we have not yet determined a solid course of action on this.

We will make the entire 8 tracks with the current line up (Sheldon – Shaughn – Ray – Andrew) available for streaming via http://www.mynoise.co.za/chiefrebelangel .
As to whether they make a cd release has not yet been determined. But who knows what the future holds.

We will be preparing our current set list along with 8 new tracks we have been working on for live performances with the new line up.
We will record all 16 tracks during the course of 2007 and select the best 10 for the album. WE might make some of the others available on http://www.mynoise.co.za/chiefrebelangel
