Inane originally formed early in 2003.The band first began playing shows in November of that year and thereafter, played countless venues and underground festivals across JHB and Pretoria.

During the course of its existence, Inane has independently released three EP's, a bonus DVD as well as a single and an appearance on Fear the Noise. The band will also be releasing their new songs soon and appearing on Fear the Noise vol 2.

Musically, over the years, Inane has progressed to become a unique entity, offering a sound that is both brutal yet melancholic. Solid metal fused with soaring underlying melodies to create the notorious signature sound of Inane.
