Biography

Stigmatadawn was spawned in early 2008 and was the remants of past band Sacramental which collapsed due to lack of interest within some members. Deep in the lowveld, Nelspruit to be exact, founding members Bishop Black and Daemon started writing some ideas down for the project and thus the band was formed. Shortly afterwars Harlequin and Priest joined enthusiastically. The band consists of 4 members (Bishop Black, Daemon, Harlequin, and Priest) each contributing to the style that the band has aquired. A mix between melodic black metal and brutal death.Stigmatadawn adds the symphonic greatness and melody of black metal, and the occult themed lyrics, and the brutality and diversity of death metal (the bands adds elements of eastern and latin american style in some of their songs). The band has just finished recording a 5 track demo and can be ordered through the myspace site (just email us). Stigmatadawn has lived through many member changes and location struggles and has been highly reviewed by local musicians. The band has been added to the battle of the bands list to open for DevilDriver and this is just the first step into an endless ocean of suffering. Stigmatadawn is currently searching for a label and some shows so if anyone is interested please email the band at stigmatadawn@yahoo.com. Please feel free to comment on the bands songs and speak to each member for they are always open for criticism and friendships. Come join the tyrants, come join the damnation. Embrace damnation, behold StigmataDawn
