Conceptualised in 1996 by self taught musician and songwriter Zamiel, PD was a soft expression of sorrow not brought to the light until 2005 with the joining of new members. Perennial Darkness evolved into what you hear today, a group of individuals with a common interest and dedication in reaching out and touching the souls of those who understand the depth and complexity of the lyrics, timeously written to express the perennial darkness of the human soul. Embodying the raw aggression of metal guitars and melodic keyboards representing the gothic quality of the music; the pulsating bass compliments the marriage of belligerent Metal and rhythmic Alternative drumming styles. Perennial Darkness’s fresh and non genre-specific female vocals fuses all these aspects together to create the incomparable, buoyant yet melancholic aggregation people have come to know as PD.

Perennial Darkness have self recorded an EP titled in the beginning… and are currently in the final production stages of their debut album titled Darkness Falls, featuring the single Sanctuary.
