Ion Heart are an alternative rock outfit. Consisting of 4 band members, their sound is unique and true to themselves. Due to continuous questions with regards to the meaning of the new band name, the simple answer is that there is no real meaning behind the name besides the fact that we thought it sounded cool. One could, however, argue that an ion is an either positive or negative charge and so obviously the band's objective is to be positively charged in their heart condition...Hopefully the curiosity of all our fans will be cured with this explanation :) All their work is original while their ability to cover recognised hits is not lacking in any way. With Stefan Louw on vocals and lead guitar and Carl Brown on backing vocals and bass, the musical compilation is smooth and yet in your face. Ewin de Villiers on keyboard makes for amazing background fills and he does not disappoint in using his instrument to the best of his ability. Renier Trytsman, drummer, combines technicality and grooves to create a mixture of pure rock and funk beats that really knock your socks off. Don't miss their next gig! For bookings call 072 796 9171
