The much publicized day will be kicking off on the 17th of January at the well-known Tempo’s entertainment park off Malibongwe Drive in Kya Sands at 11am with bands starting at 12 noon.

Taking centre stage on one of the 3 special arenas dedicated to bringing you, the fan, closer to the action that is Thornfest!

If live music gets a bit much for you, don’t be alarmed, as Thornrose Music have a delightful array of entertainment lined up for all which includes not only a dance hall with some of the BEST local hard rock and metal DJ’s JHB has to offer, but also tickle your taste buds with Food Stalls, bring lots of dosh for the stunning merchandise, Dive bomb the crowd for some exciting CD, T- shirt, Badges, Tattoo voucher and guitar give-aways.

Also this year the Thornrose will be having a Guitar hero competition, Wet T- shirt competition and Drinking games so whether you’re a gamer, a sexy vixen or just a drunk there will be entertainment JUST FOR YOU!

And as for for the Adrenalin Junkies be sure to ride the Mechanical Bull and try win some clothing giveaways and if your adrenalin needs more of a push then be sure to catch the live suspension show!
Those sexy Promo girls will be frolicking amongst the crowds so be sure to buy their delightful wares and maybe they’ll show you a thing or two about their jobs ;)

Other exciting titbits that Thornrose are proud to announce are that there will be a VIP room and plenty of safe parking – so indoors and out, you’ll be protected!

Now for the best part! The entire day jam-packed full of exciting thrills will set you back a mere R50 before 7pm and thereafter a measly R60. So whatever age you are (Yeh, did I forget to mention ALL AGES) get your butt on down to Tempo’s Entertainment Park on the 17th of January for the fest of all fests to start all of 2009 off with a bang – THORNFEST!
